The wide open spaces of Botswana are southern Africa’s ultimate wilderness destination. The tranquil Okavango Delta flood plain is surrounded by desert sands and creates an oasis for wildlife which can be explored on foot, from open-topped safari vehicles, or from a mokoro dugout canoe.
Vast herds of buffalo, zebra, antelope and elephant, as well as lion, leopard, wild dog and cheetah, and an incredible 550 species of birds can be seen and in the north the Chobe National Park is home to 100,000 elephants.
